Shoot...

I promised for a post about our visit to Centrum with my grandfather and my brother last Sunday, so.. here you go!

It was a sunny day, as far as I could remember...

From the station near our home (Not going to be mentioned for personal reasons,) we go with tram 5 to the station "Spui"..
It's only a station away form the station "Dam", which is the very center of Amsterdam, where the old castle of the Royal Dutch family lived, and it is also a square where people hang out - and also the birds, ah.. There are always birds flying around the square, and if you drop some french fries on the ground, birds will come and hunt you down,

But, anyway, i"m not here to talk about Damraak, I'm here to talk about Spui...

Spui is the name of the tram station located near this place..
It is located near one of my favourite cinemas (My only one - actually - in Europe), and its name is PATHE DE MUNT.. It is 3 stories high, and it has approximately 8 different movies playing daily,
Spui is also located near a canal, if you're a tourist, this is one of the best spots to visit. There are boats where tourists acn go on and explore the canals in Amsterdam...

But that wasn't my destination for either my grand father and my brother!

We went far into the Centrum and in the wilds of the Centrum (Very crowded that I can barely took pictures there, afraid to be pickpocketted)

But what we desired was simply the Pataat..

Pataat is the Dutch word for French Fries,
But this is a special kind of Pataat,
They are freshly made of freshly bought potatoes, and then they cut them and fry them themselves on that very day - potatoes that have last for more than a day will nt be sold - or so I think...

It was delicious, I had mine with mayonnaise, while my grandfather and brother had theirs with Pinda Sauce (Brownish kind of sauce that you usually eat with satay)

On that particular spot, I spotted my old friend..
For personal reasons, I'm not going to mention her name..
She's Ukrainian, and she used to be at my school, but moved to a Dutch school..

She's a genius! After learning for a year to be fluent at English, on that very year - the very first and last year for her to be at our school, she moved to a Dutch school for various reasons,

Now, she can speak fluently both English and Dutch, her English is more fluent grammatically than mine.. Although in pronunciation, I might be better than her - considering the fact that the Ukrainian accent she has is too arduous to lose when she speaks other languages,
We shared MSNs, and we've been chatting together ever since :)

Anyways, after our visit to "Pataat",
We decided to go and have a visit to a bookshop - Waterstones..
I don't have to exlain as much about this very bookshop, as this is quite well known worldwide..

Anyhow, Waterstones is originally an English bookshop..
The cashiers even speak English with an English Accent, as if they are brought far from England to work there!

He bought 6 different books, and he claimed that he's going to finish it in 6 month...
Out of the question..

I have many homeworks anyway..
Which explains the reason of my blog title,
I have works to do for MUN..
And French Homework and test next week,
And I've got some Math stuff to do, too,
And many MANY more,

Life has been really hard on me at school,
I just wish that it's Christmas tomorrow and there will be another holiday for three weeks?!

Well, I'll just get on with my school life,
And dream about the holiday..
It is sometimes more fun to do so rather than to do the holiday itself,

Well, I'll end the blog here for now,

P.S. My aunt and her family are coming to visit us today.. They've just arrived, and I'm excited.. In the midst of my chaotic life (Homeworks), I have my two younger cousins to bring smile to my face XD

Finally, I write..

Yes.. Finally, it's been quite a long time...
My old friend from Elementary School - Galih - told me to view his blog..
And that reminded me of my OWN blog..
lol..

Anyhow, I've been reading all my previous posts, and I thought my grammar was horrible,
I was writing them quickly before bed, so that may explains it..
I'm sorry for any inconvenience I may cause by that,


Anyway, mothing particularly exciting has happened,
Life in Amsterdam is just... plain boring,

I'm sick, I've got a bit of cold,
The reason is simply because I went to the mall in Amstelveen,
Right after I read the Weather Forecast from the Internet, saying that on that day, Amsterdam is quite windy,
And that the temperature is 10 degrees Celcius..

I have a list of clothing that I wore at the time:
> Thin Black T-Shirt (VERY THIN)
> Blue Hoodie (Quite Thin)
> Black Trainer Jacket

That may not be surprising, but I should remind you that when there's a wind in Europe, a temperature may drop by 2 - 3 degrees from normal, so - we know that it was 10 degrees celsius on that day, right? It was windy, so, the temperature that I felt may be around 8 degrees Celsius...

That's not all, I should continue my list first:

> Shorts (Covers my knees and above)
> Sandals

I love to play around with clothes, but I think I had gone too far on that day,

And this is what others wore on that day:

> Winter Jacket (Warm Jacket)
> Pants (Skirt with/without stockings for some women)
> Shoes (Boots for women with stockings)

That's what people should wear when it's winter in Amsterdam,
Compared to what I wore, it is quite reasonable - that the fact I am quite sick right now,

To add on, I've been sleeping around 3 AM..
Therefore, there is a high risk of me catching a cold in the first place,
That was very smart of me, :)


I forgot to tell you, my grandparents are here!
They've been here for a week, and they're leaving in two weeks..:)
It's fun, I get to go to Damraak and Binnenhof with them,
At least I've got something fun to do in the midst of crisis...

My father went to Jakarta to discuss stuff,
About bailouts and all... :p
In the end, it was concluded that his side won - almost..
Anyhow, banking issue is not for me,
I'm just happy that he's all right,
He's been quite sick of this situation..


Okay... What else have I got to say..
Hmm...

Oh yes, I've finally finished my Physics Essay..
It's 8 pages long or so,
With the font Arial 10..:)
I'm quite happy with it,
I'm going to the Public Library on Sunday to print it off,
I'm also going to do my MUN (Model United Nations) works tomorrow,
So, I can print them off together on Sunday,


Life has been quite good since the last time I posted,
It may hurt you sometimes, but it is something to be enjoyed,
And it is enjoyable at times, too..


I've got to go now,
It's 3 AM...
I've got to be prepared to do my MUN works tomorrow,
I'm going to do MUNISH in the Hague from Friday until Sunday next week...

So, good lucks are pretty much appreciated,
I will probably post some pics for tomorrow,
I will go out sometime tomorrow though,

As it's already been two weeks of summer, awfully boring and worthless.. I've decided to do something different..

Of course, I've set a lot of goals to be achieved by next year, but there's another goal I have in mind..

Just like this JakartaDaily site I found, I'm going to try to take pics one per day of Amsterdam.. As it's summer, I think it's gonna be okay... ^^

Homework Sucks

I'm going to list all my homework and stuff to be done next week (Tomorrow):

Monday: Humanities Brochure - Homework, Helping out a 4th Grade teacher, Having the Grade Yearbook Cover Finished

Tuesday: French Homework

Wednesday: Charity Meeting

Thursday: Helping on a Bake Sale for Charity, Helping on a party after school

Friday: Helping on the Grade Yearbook, Violin Concert

Others: Math Investigation, Physics Test


Now, you can imagine how I'm so busy, which I love! I love being busy, especially since it's almost the end of school..

Well, well, out of all the homeworks.. I've only finished on Humanities Brochure, and hasn't even started on the Yearbook Cover..

Tonight's going to be a LONG night :-)

Hooray! A new Blog!

This Blog has been abandoned by me for over a year.. And I decided to reuse it to just waste sometime..

Yeah, things been going very well - my life - except an overloading homework...

I'm still up until now, 2 AM, because I'm bored and want to do my homework..
